White Bike - Ghost Bike

I have seen this bike on a few occasions, not sure of what it was or signified I concluded that it might just be a piece of art work. Well I was wrong its a ghost bike as was pointed out to me by AM3 member Ralph Jones, its to show that a bicyclist was killed by a car at the location. This is not meant as a Silly Tuesday posting.

This isn't a monument I would like to receive. Interesting concept, it was also unknown to me. An info panel on the bike would have been helpful.

I have read about this in the newspapers (we have the same thing here in London) but have never actually seen one. This one does look very poignant standing there.
