Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandBrilliant brilliant brilliant!!!! joe you have a cracker here my friend!!! Thirds, silhoutte like figurines, a shining light - reflection of the sun and faint relfections of what lies behind the photographer!!! I LOVE it!!! 5 Stars....BRAVO!!! 6 Jan 2009 7:50am @Linerberry: Thanks LB, I feel like I'm on a high horse after your comment, I'll be keeping an eye on your brother. zahai from Berlin, GermanyLovely composition, and the reflections add a lot of interest to the picture. Nicely done. 6 Jan 2009 8:36am @zahai: Thank you zahai, all in a days work. :D @Vink: Thanks for the comment, Vink. Laura from Birmingham, United Kingdomgreat shot, i like your photos of shops and facades they work really well 6 Jan 2009 11:53am @Laura: Thanks Laura, it seems easier when you like something. bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaOooh! I think this is really cool! There is so much life in this shot, hidden in those silhouettes! Well done!! 6 Jan 2009 1:26pm @bluechameleon: Thanks blue, I check your site but by the time I get to it there's forty plus comments, so its hard not to repeat. I simply like your point of view. :D Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaWow I love this, really cool! You have the 'eye' for unusual things...It's wonderful :) 6 Jan 2009 2:30pm @Lorraine: Dropped by the big tower downtown, one of the one's you see in shots of downtown Toronto. The legals are all back from their holidays, always returning on a Tuesday just to remind everyone that they where on holidays. Had to listen to an hour of the atrocities of air travel, the downfall of hotels, and the attitude of wait staff who can't pronounce turmeric. Got around to the "shadows on the diamond snow" line, right away they insisted that its my intellectual property, it didn't take long for the room to go livid. You might consider this a warning, The Friendly Cyclops. MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyThat's funny and a bit strange: there doesn't seem to be a boulevard or even a street there, so who is going to watch this shopping window? 6 Jan 2009 2:30pm @MadScientist: I wish you could see these places (which I tend to shoot from time to time) I affectionally call them The Box Malls. Giant warehouse type stores which you have to drive from one to another mostly, like a regular mall but on the outside and bigger. They basically take a plot of land on the outskirts or a farm field and build these box stores. Shar from Regina, SK, CanadaLove this, great use of leading lines and simplistic subjects! 6 Jan 2009 4:52pm @Shar: I have a three year old Pentax ist DS, its funny recently I was in a camera store where they had a special on the latest Pentax with two lenses. Out of curiousity I asked what I could get for mine as a trade in, $80 was the answer, originally I paid $1200. Paco Díaz from SpainVery well seen, I like the composition and this magic suggerence. 7 Jan 2009 12:13pm Sean from Champaign, United StatesWhat an odd display, but I can't seem to look away. I hope your new year is off to a great start! 11 Jan 2009 3:48am |
