Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandHehehe, you'll just have to do without lol!!! Brilliant image Joe. It looks old and empty yet like its just been painted....very odd!! 19 Sep 2008 6:18am @Linerberry: It was painted, then it shut down suddenly. I think the big boys pulled the plug. Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaWell , bad, badder and baddest, those ads could get you sued! Personally I miss smoking terribly, damnit I even tried to start again after 15 years and crap if that addiction didn't die on me, I'll always love ginger ale, but without pizza or poutine what's the point? Chips ohhh chips but without Ginger Ale... you know 19 Sep 2008 9:57am @Lorraine: I'm just the messenger or a Joseph looking for a manger (courtesy of Leonard Cohen.) I think of smoking once in awhile but I feel so much better without it, and i don't like the smell of them anymore. Miss Vicky's chips when there's a federal election, ginger ale when i go to a BBQ and have to drive. where would we be without cravings? We wouldn't dream, cold and stiff, "The Big Sleep." Marcie from United StatesNot often that you see one of these ol' fashioned places around anymore. Great colors!!! 19 Sep 2008 3:16pm Zorilla from H, T & E, United KingdomI always knew they popped ballons but this chip revelation is news to me 19 Sep 2008 9:08pm @Zorilla: Chips we call french fries (except when we order fish&chips) the potatoes in cellophane bags we call chips, what do you call them? MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyIf they go bankrupt with essential goods like these, then the end is really near! ;) 19 Sep 2008 11:27pm @MadScientist: Maybe I got my ends mixed, but wasn't it when the computers take over. Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomJust love this type of image, the red and white are really clean & vivid. What kind of place is this... out of town ? 20 Sep 2008 12:39am @Observing: It was a small village, now absorbed by the city growth. Lorraine from Canadaoh crap...now I have to get Ms Vicky's chips, I love those, when you can't drink, have a ginger ale with orange juice, honestly It almost tastes like the weakest mimosa ever ;) 20 Sep 2008 11:55am Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomWhat a lethal trading post this must have been. I guess the customers died out. 20 Sep 2008 10:20pm Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesYou're supposed to go to Walmart, don't ya know? 21 Sep 2008 5:00pm @Twelvebit: On the present route that I'm doing traveling east and west I pass a Wal-mart a total of seven times. I lose track (or want to) of how many times I'm asked "Do you go to Wal-mart" my usual respond is " I go to Main St. and Bovaird." Or if i feel flip since there are two in town I'll say "Which one?" I get all kinds of looks from the driver is crazy to I just don't know. After a few seconds and then a smile, "I go to Wal-mart." So my wife goes into Wal-mart, I go to the bookstore next door grab a coffee and a magazine. When the cell rings I come out as fresh as a boxer in the first round. On the way home I'll ask how was it, knowing that she'll complain about the behaviour of someone in the store. So as you can see Wal-mart has not only taken over the shopping market of Canada but also affected my work and homelife. |
