A little hdr here perchance? --of course aside from what I find is a typical tonality in the left background, the Photomatix watermark is something of a giveaway. It's worth the money in my humble opinion. Btw, great contrast between the colorful trailer and the monochromatic world in the background. I think you can read into this a message about the contrast between real life and the glossy hyperinflated claims of marketing and advertising.

@Twelvebit: As you can tell I'm trying a free trial of Photomatix. I was torn between the HDR and the original, to gain something you have to give up something. But in the end the colour of the trailer won in HDR which was the focal point. Some times I question the programs that we have where we alter so much that I wonder what the real image is, but at the same time its great to have such an easy darkroom. I always go back to image and what it says, the method is just to emphasize.
When I first got Photomatix I used it on just about everything. Of course, part of this was experimentation and learning the software. Now I've more or less settled into a sense of where I want to use it and where I don't, and probably use it less than 50% of the time. For one thing, I've found it just doesn't work well with underexposure or the noise of high ISO settings (noise gets amplified), so most night shots that aren't made from a tripod at ISO 100 are out. Usually though, when I do use it, it's because I had a certain vision of the image in my mind when I pressed the shutter release and the image right out of the camera doesn't match. Many times the hdr process helps me to better reproduce an image as I saw it.
